ERAPPA Educational Scholarship
To support the education, personal development, and advancement of facilities professionals, ERAPPA has established scholarships to help with the financial support for several APPA Leadership Training and Facilities Management skills development programs at APPA U. The next application process for education scholarships opens on Monday, June 29, 2026, and closes on Friday, July 31, 2026. Winners are announced at the ERAPPA Annual Conference. Eligible applicants must be employed by an ERAPPA member educational institution.
ERAPPA’s educational scholarships are made possible by revenue from the ERAPPA Annual Conference and by the ongoing support of our Business Partners.

KAPPA Announces 2026–2027 Board of Directors
During the Annual Business Meeting at the KAPPA Spring 2026 Conference, held April 21–23 in Hershey, new officers were elected and leadership transitions were announced for the KAPPA Board of Directors.
Erik Cagle moved into the role of Immediate Past President after serving as KAPPA President during the 2025–2026 term. Erik’s leadership helped guide the organization through another successful year of engagement, collaboration, and growth. We thank him for his dedication and continued service to KAPPA.
Scott Albert of Slippery Rock University was promoted to President of the Board of Directors. Scott brings strong leadership experience and a continued commitment to advancing KAPPA’s mission.
Mike Hoffman of Penn State University was promoted to First Vice President. Mike has been an active contributor to the organization and will play a key role in supporting KAPPA’s strategic initiatives.
Brian Richards of Penn-Trafford School District was elected as Second Vice President. Brian’s experience and engagement within the organization will support continued member growth and development.
Michael Mumper of Franklin and Marshall College was elected as Director of Membership and Community. In this role, Michael will focus on strengthening member engagement and expanding KAPPA’s network.
Ashley Spears of Gannon University was elected as Director of Speakers and Events. Ashley will help lead the planning and delivery of KAPPA’s conferences and professional development opportunities.
KAPPA looks forward to the leadership of this dedicated group as the organization continues to support excellence in educational facilities across the region.

APPA is preparing to open nominations for its 2026 Individual Awards—honoring excellence, leadership, and service across the educational facilities profession.
APPA Fellow
Recognizes individuals who have made significant, field-advancing contributions through research, innovation, and leadership. (Note: Submissions are temporarily suspended while APPA updates the nomination process.)
Meritorious Service Award
APPA’s highest honor for lifetime service. Awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and leadership at the international, regional, or chapter level. Nominations open December 1, 2025.
Pacesetter Award
Celebrates emerging leaders who have made strong contributions to their APPA region or chapter through service, professional development, and organizational advancement. Nominations open December 1, 2025.
